Description:
“How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to your word.” Psalm 119:9
It is exciting to see second graders eager to know and memorize God’s Word and how they are learning to apply its truth to their lives. This year’s second grade is excelling in their Bible memory skills, and is remembering their verses week after week. They are filling their minds with God’s rich promises.
They also have a joyful spirit in tackling their daily assignment. They are sharpening their skills in reading so they can explore the field of Science and Heritage Studies. In Science we study creation, the earth, fossils, plant life, and the human body. In Heritage Studies we are studying farming, community helpers, Kings, Queens, and the forming of the United States.
We will enjoy field trips to Benjamin Franklin Printing Press, La Brea Tar Pits, and the Imax Theater.
Second grade is a wonderful, exciting year of friendships, academics, and learning about God!
